I'll presume Amazon was simply misinformed about this; the Solstice II is actually a "Quick-Messaging" Phone.
Soon after I got this phone from AT&T, I looked at their site & a customer review titled "PRETTY SMART FOR NOT BEING A 'SMARTPHONE'", and I'm fairly inclined to agree. This kind is not the most practical for using the web(even per AT&T reps), but more for texting.

I've got texting disabled for cost reasons, but even after nearly 2 years, the touchscreen QWERTY keyboard is fairly easy to use. Most functions on this phone soon become easy to understand, but several things I really appreciate are
(1)Good Reception(many of my other neighbors have to take their phones outside to get reception, but my calls are crystal-clear throughout the house); very few calls dropped.
(2)Great Battery Life--5 Hours for talking only (a blessing when my former phone battery, rated for 3 hours lasted only 1 1/2)
(3)Great Camera & photo-editing ability--I can actually aim the phone at my computer monitor & get a picture looking close to the original; photo editing sometimes makes it hard to think I didn't actually download from the web!

For those NOT really needing a Smartphone(& its costs), but good for texting & talking, THIS is the one for you.

The glass broke from a slow motion fall in my office from a 2.5 feet drop. And I said drop. It didn't have any additional speed added on the fall. It didn't even bounce from the fall. When I picked it up, the glass was all cracked. I think it is fair to assume it is not dust and waterproof anymore either, as there are crack lines with space in between(yes, some fine glass pieces got loose).
For the price I paid for this phone I could have purchased a better one with a rugged case and would have been much better off.
The worst part is that when I went to Samsung's website to claim on the warranty, it says that warranty doesn't cover for physical damage (ie. a cracked screen).
Now why would they say that it stands 6.6 feet drops, when it doesn't and then just don't repair it under warranty.
Samsung is just lying to you, and they don't stand by their products or neither care for their customers.
Bad policy Samsung.

I really do love this phone. I had a smart phone, but it was when the first kinds of touch screen smart phones were coming out and it was straight garbage. This phone is dynamite. You know, if you aren't looking to get all the bells and whistles then this is a great phone. The Windows Platform is not as bad as advertised. I really enjoy the platform actually. It is easy to use, and simple to learn. The phone is lightning quick. My biggest pet peeve though is there is no functional d-pad on the QWERTY touch screen pad. It does get annoying some, but overall, it really is a minor issue. I think the phone is great and I wouldn't trade it out. I enjoy the heck out of it. I'm a simple guy, and this all the fancy phone I need :-).

I got this phone in April, after breaking my other phone. The phone stopped working randomly after 4 months. It would drop my calls after a minute, would randomly text people who had previously called me, and every time I tried to text someone, it would request that I "shut down the device". Worst phone I have ever had.

Purchased this as a replacement phone on phone only network. I liked this option as it had wireless network built in that allows me to connect to my air card and access Android apps, updates etc. The add incorrectly labeled this as an Android OS version 2.3 but in reality is the updated version 4.0.4 which was a pleasant surprise. Phone has performed as well as prior phone signal wise and provides much more functionality than previous phone-only phone. I am pleased with the price to capability ratio of this phone. I also like the smaller size that is easy to carry in pocket. If carried loose in pocket recommend disabling single swipe unlock and changing to pattern lock as phone would unlock in my pocket otherwise. Good purchase.

It has an elegant design, it's easy to use, it's very feminine. One thing that I have a problem with is the sound gallery, in all honesty the ringtones are all a little weird. The other one is the charger - the charger in itself seems ok, but I've had problems with the travel adapter which looks very cheap. It simply refuses to make proper contact. Fortunately, my Kindle charger works with the phone, so I solved the problem. And at least I know that when I go to Europe, I will have a charger for my phone and my Kindle:)

Anyway, I recommend the phone. You won't get a better deal for this price.

After using the phone for a week all I can say is that I love it. Besides the problem with the charger mentioned above, I love the apps and how they work on it, I love its flexibility, I love to take it everywhere with me, even when I don't take my purse. I like it so much more than my previous Iphone!

Also will not connect to the tmobile 3G network, I called Tmobile who told me to call Samsung who told me they could not help me because the phone is meant for the Philippine market and Samsung USA could not tell me anything about it. I called the Philippine Samsung people and they tried to take me through the process to set the phone up to connect to 3G but the menus are different on the phone than what the customer service agent was seeing so it appears impossible. Its a nice phone but just doesn't work properly...

Phone is slow, clumsy. Touchscreen is offset to the bottom and to the right. Internal memory is insufficent for the apps the come standard on the phone. The Seller (BlueTech) is terrible, liers, and rude. Phone is labeled as "international", but in reality it shoudl read "POS rejected by unknown foreign nation". Phone unable to save APN settings if you are interested in using multimedia or data.

Overall the phone is almost $150 for a 2MP camera. Deserves 0 stars.

This is the best $3 case that you will find for your Galaxy S3. I want to start by saying I got this phone at my local AT&T store and unlocked from any seller. Coming from an iPhone user for years, this phone is amazing. As I type this on my mac ironically enough, I was tired of Apple. I picked this up on my upgrade, and my first impressions were that it was WAY too big (screen wise) after about 2 weeks of using it, I look at iPhone screens and seriously question why I ever liked the screen on them. I can easily touch all corners of this screen without stretching too much and I have very average sized hands for a guy. Coming from a gamer, the S4 is a totally different breed from iPhone at least in the emulation area. It can run almost any N64/PSX game at 40-60fps constantly. The only thing I could complain about this phone is heating. Now it's a very powerful phone and it will run warm when gaming. I had a defect my first time around with this phone at was running at 120F. I replaced it and have had no problems since. I can't rave anymore about how everyone should at least give the S4 a chance. I used to make fun of their giant appearance, but now I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm hooked.

First off, it's a great phone for the price you pay. It's as good as any other $250+ phones. The phones runs smooth with quite a few apps which surprises me. I got the phone with a 2GB sd card so that helped a great deal.

Pros:- Cost effective, works without data plan thanks to wifi, decent audio output.

Cons-
1)poor battery life - if you use wifi or gps for a while then it'll drain the battery.
2)not enough internal memory. it has preloaded apps on phone memory which consume most of the space. it's about 200MB I guess.
3)2MP cam. Well it's not much of a con but for the same price, u get quite a few phones with >2mp cams.

This makes a good first smartphone if you didn't get one yet. It pretty much serves the purpose without shelling out big bucks.

After shopping around, I decided to go with the Captivate. I'm very glad I did. This phone is intelligently designed, versatile, has a lot of memory, and very few cons. The display is big, bright and crystal clear. I have froyo (2.2) which seems to have resolved a number of problems earlier versions had.
One bit of advice: before you download any app or upgrade, read the customer comments. They will usually tell you better than anything else whether that particular app or upgrade is a good one. Some upgrades only install more advertising. It's also a good idea to read permissions.
A lot of people have battery drain issues with this phone. Disabling Background Data under Settings/Accounts and sync seems to help with this problem.

I have had this phone for two years. Yes, sometimes it freezes and you have to take the battery out but its not that often. I found it very easy to use, battery life is good and I actually bought extra batteries because I use it while hunting and run the GPS feature in it. I have had so few problems with it, it really is a trooper. I just recently set this phone on its charger in a glass of water for 5 hours (used it as a flashlight late at night and in my half awake state didn't realize I had done that). Dried the little bugger out and don't you know it came back on. It works ok now, but the power button doesn't wake up the screen. I bypassed this with a shake to wake up app, but it still is stuttering a bit. I ordered a thunderbolt (w extended battery) to try in its stead, but if it doesn't measure up, then I am totally re-ordering the continuum since I am pretty sold on the Samsung quality and am waiting for my verizon upgrade to get a new one. Oh, and I live in the same house with an iphone. It crashed last week and the picks on it were unrecoverable (it wasn't backing up to the cloud). I pulled the chip on my little "cheap" continuum and thought how thankful I am as I went to CVS and shoved the chip in and made a cd and several prints without having to worry about accessing any cloud.

When I go into the subway, then come back out, it says I have no service when I clearly do, and the only way to fix it is to restart the phone. The phone also takes like 10 minutes to turn on/off, which is annoying. I could go on and on, but the point is don't buy it. Period.

But on a good note, I fell in love with this phone the minute I powered it on. Best looking screen I ever saw on a phone. Lightning quick response, fast on the Internet, loud speakers, and for such a big phone, I can't even tell its in my pocket. I had to keep checking. The sound is great. I watched tv on Hulu with no lag. Totally worth the money. I just would suggest that you buy one somewhere besides this place.

I was looking for an unlocked smart phone, because I was tired of always borrowing my husbands iphone 4. I wanted to stay with platinumtel (ptel), because I love their service, and save tons of cash using them, but I didn't like the selection of phones they had. After doing a lot of research I came across this gem. And gem it is. It blows away the iphone, both in speed, and screen size. The resolution may not be as high, but to my eye it seems very nice and crisp. I am not a gamer, I just want to surf the web, and get messages, and this really fits the bill for me. It accepted the ptel sim card with no problem, and in a few minutes it was up and cruising. Specs are ideal for ptel service, get all phone functions, and nice 4g speed. Both wifi and bluetooth connectivity is a snap, with no drop outs, or stuttering of signal. It definitely came with some crapware, so I may have to do my first root, but might not bother, since I am a noob, and might chicken out, plus it is running so beautifully, as is.

I don't know if my seller, MobileImage updated this to ice cream sandwich, but it was a nice surprise to receive it already updated. This phone is just fantastic, I cant believe more people aren't in on the joy. Thanks to those reviewers before me, you helped me make a great decision.

I love almost every feature of this phone, especially at this bargain price. First, the order came with the whole box, instruction manuals, battery and cover, and a bonus set of earphones. Set up took no time at all - you can use any gsm SIM card you'd like, and it is currently used prepaid. The display is beautiful, the device feels nice in my hand, the camera is really nice, the front facing camera a bonus. The phone is said to come equipped with Android OS Gingerbread; however it came with the more advanced version of ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich). From this seller, the price was less than the $200 margin - unactivated elsewhere would run you upwards of $350.

I have to tell you this is by far the best phone I have had. I just upgraded it Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). This phone is very powerful with the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade.

The specs of this device is on par with some of the best(higher priced)smartphones. The only other Samsung smartphone I had was the Samsung Propel Pro (which by the way ran perfect for 2 years) and then I got a Blackberry 9810. The Blackberry was the worst decision ever. I know buying this budget phone (Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate) was going to be of quality but was pleased by how well it runs but absolutely stunned and surprised with the BIG BOYS upgrade (Ice cream sandwich).

Was worried it was too big, so i made a cardboard cut out for width, thickness, and height of course and because its so thin it's fine it means you can even get a nice leather case and it still comfortably fit in your pocket. Was going to get a samsung 10.1v, but this is better. i can't believe how easy and good the sgs2 is to browse on the web and watch videos with and is awesome for emails. i won't be using my laptop much anymore at all

This is my first Android device (I had 3 iPhones before it), and I don't think I'm ever going back to Apple. This phone is so much more responsive and capable. The camera is second only to some Nokias, and the video camera is phenomenal. I have the German version (rooted), but have access to the US app store with Market Enabler. The home screen button makes coming from iOS even easier than you'd think. The only problem I have is the battery life, but that's to be expected with a current generation smart phone (dual core especially). This is easily ameliorated with the inclusion of a both a dedicated wall charger AND USB charger included (make sure you pick up a USB car charger.. I have [...] and it works great). If you're in the market for a new phone, this is it. I purchased mine at T-Mobile.de for 500 euro, which is why I'm not a verified owner.

I was expecting to received this product, but when it arrived I found out that the phone was the Samsung i727 and not the i9100. It came without a box, just in plastic bag and the phone had been used before. The phone have many scratches in the battery door. I have a Samsung Exhibit II 4G which is an awesome phone. I bought this one for myself and it really blows me away. 4" screen is still considered small enough to fit in your jean pocket, very nice design, feel, and look. The screen is really nice and super AMOLED is noticeably better than LCD. But comparing this screen to Exhibit II 4G's LCD screen, I find Exhibit's white is cool white (better), while Blaze's white is warmer white. BUT super AMOLED's color is very good - nice indeed. Also AMOLED seems to be less reflective than LCD. Dual core is fast! Internal (system+SD) memory is about the same as Exhibit II 4G, 1GB+1.6GB, though Blaze has 1GB RAM while Exhibit has 512MB. Blaze does come with a 4G microSD card which is quite useless for me as I bought and replaced it with a 32G. Blaze comes with gingerbread v2.3.6, and my Exhibit has v2.3.5. Overall, a VERY nice phone - another kudo to Samsung and T-Mobile.

Absolutely love this phone. It runs on Android 4.0. If you read anywhere that it's on an older Android version, that information is outdated. This phone has now been upgraded to 4.0, and if you buy it, it'll come with 4.0 already installed. I bought this phone after having an Android 1.5 phone for too long.

The Galaxy S Blaze 4G came out about a year ago, but I don't think it'll become dated anytime too soon. It's basically the same as the Samsung Galaxy S2, with a few minor things missing (like HDMI port). So, if you want a phone from the Galaxy family, and don't want to pay too much, I strongly recommend this one. Plus, Tmobile is currently installing an LTE network, so I don't think it makes much sense to pay a lot of money for the Galaxy S3 which is on HSPA+. The Galaxy S Blaze 4G is on HSPA+, but it's cheaper, and a great phone to have until LTE is fully up and running, IMO. I don't do too many crazy things with this phone, but this phone has everything most people use smartphones for.

I love the size, it's about the size of an iPhone. It might be marginally smaller than the Galaxy S2. So, if you're looking for something about as big as the iPhone or S2 (as opposed to the giant S3 and S4), this is your phone

Got this phone for my girlfriend as a Christmas present and she loves it. Tmobile network isn't the best but she's used them for years and has no complaints. Phone is sleek, fast, responsive screen and overall very easy to use. Not the best battery life but no android has a good battery. She likes it, so I'm happy... great product.

I didn't think there would be a faster or better android phone than the Note. I got this this afternoon. Cut down my Sim to a micro...stuck it in and zoom. Quandrant was 5476. ICS is so fluid and easy. TouchWiz is amamzing also. This is quad core and it is hard to keep up with. The only thing I have noticed so far is when you push the home button it really seems to lag to get back to the home screen. Maybe haven't tuned up all the settings though. I played with the One X at ATT. The real difference is the sound on the SIII is LOUD and clear. Plus, the fact of having an SD card and replaceable battery was the no brainer decision for me. The only other real problem with this and the One X is that in six months, or less, they will be outdated. Oh Yes, S Voice takes longer than Siri, but the replies seem to in more detail. Get it if you are an android fan and you will positively enjoy it.

I got my S3 in white yesterday, I had the iPhone 4s before but I played before with the s2 that I already liked. The phone feels great in hand, it's super fast. I like the fact to expand memory by micro sd and that you can change battery. Battery Life is great for me so far, looking forward to explore more features. In case you have the htc one x, I think you don't need to upgrade, otherwise I can highly recommend it, it's not feeling so huge than the Note.

For me the top phones of the year (currently, June 2012) would go to the HTX One x, and this one right here. Featuring a 4 core processor it is extremely fast, and it also comes with Androids 4 series operating system which is very smooth and nice to use. Overall the phone is great, and every aspect so far has been great. Camera, speed, size, screen, feel, look, all super. Great job samsung!

P.S. Love playing emulator games on this thing, currently playing final fantasy 7 with a bluetooth controller. Just goes to show the speed of this thing when it can emulate PS1 games without lag or delay.

Bought it from Wireless Everything. They had good ratings overall which encouraged me. Very vast shipping. Phone came with a U.S. electricity power supply, no international sockets although it came with a separate international adapter outside the phone box. No seal on the box but the phone was brand new with all wrapping. When turned on, the language was defaulted to English U.S., you just click OK. Color looks fantastic, way better than white or blue. Phone made in China, not Korea, or at least this color. I hope it hold for a while. Not sure yet about the quality of the battery. I will update my review in few weeks.
